HR Generalist

About the Role Are you passionate about health, culture, and people and enjoy developing systems from the ground up? If yes, this job is for you. We're looking for an HR Generalist to help kickstart our HR department. You will work closely with our HR team and NutriSense leadership to design and develop people strategy, policies, protocols and programs to help NutriSense double-to-triple in size over the next 12-18 months. You are a leader apt at imagining and executing brand new org-wide strategies efficiently and effectively. You are intuitive—you know how to attract, train, inspire and retain talent. What You'll Do Partner with NutriSense leadership and recruitment team to develop and implement talent planning and acquisition strategies Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes and terminations, including yearly open enrollment Partner with NutriSense leadership to imagine and construct company-wide protocol for employee onboarding, assessment, evaluation, and promotion programs to optimize employee lifecycle and retention Respond to employee requests and inquiries, including assisting interpretation of company policies and procedures Conduct onboarding with new hires through Gusto, communicate company policies and benefits, verify I9's and collect all necessary documents Offboard employees, process terminations and communicate with appropriate departments to terminate access Respond to and process unemployment claims About NutriSense NutriSense is a VC-backed tech-forward platform focused on improving metabolic health. Skills You'll Need 1-2 years of experience within People Operations, HR, Recruitment or someone that is hard-working with a demonstrated past of high work ethic in a different field (finance, consulting, etc.) and looking for a career shift Demonstrated project management skills and a track record of success in bringing highly complex and cross-functional projects to completion Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and to maintain effective relationships with team members Proven expertise in analyzing people-centric data and building data-driven action plans for employee success, development, and engagement Ability to thrive in ambiguity and be a strong self-starter Experience working with a distributed, remote, international workforce Current/active HR credentials are a plus (includes SHRM, HRCI, or other comparable certifications requiring continued demonstration of competency and renewal)
