Oxford Economics is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior HR Generalist to join our global Human Resources team based in Montreal. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their HR career who is looking to gain broad exposure across the employee lifecycle in a fast-paced, international professional services environment. Working closely with the HR team, you will support day-to-day HR operations while helping deliver key people initiatives across North America and globally. This role offers exposure to recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, compliance, and reporting. Key Responsibilities HR Operations Provide first-line HR support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures and employee queries. Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and personnel files. Prepare employment contracts, letters, and other HR documentation. Support employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, internal transfers, promotions and offboarding. Ensure HR documentation is accurate, compliant and completed within required timelines. Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate recruitment activities including interview scheduling and candidate communication. Assist with preparing offer letters and onboarding documentation. Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities. Ensure a positive onboarding experience for new employees. HR Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with Canadian employment legislation and internal policies. Support audits and HR reporting requirements. Produce regular HR metrics and reports using Excel and HR systems. Maintain confidentiality of employee information at all times. HR Projects Participate in HR initiatives and continuous improvement projects. Assist with policy updates and process documentation. Support the implementation of new HR systems and programs as required. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise You are organized, proactive and enjoy working with people. You are eager to learn, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and thrive in a collaborative environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field. 3+ years of HR experience in a generalist. Working knowledge of Quebec, Ontario, and Canadian employment legislation. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience using an HRIS is an asset.
