Role Overview

Reporting to the Sr. Director, HR, you will partner with the HR Business Partner team in delivering people programs, projects, and day-to-day HR support across the business. You will support designated functions, including Managed Services and Support, serving as a first-line HR resource for routine employee and manager needs while escalating more complex or higher-risk matters to the appropriate HR Business Partner. You will support employee relations, performance and talent processes, recruiting, employee transitions, job and organizational changes, manager enablement, and HRBP-led projects. This role will flex based on business and HR priorities, including providing additional recruiting support during periods of increased hiring activity.

What you'll do

  • Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees within assigned business functions, independently coaching employees and managers on HR policies and practices and helping them resolve employee issues, while escalating complex or higher-risk issues to the appropriate HR Business Partner.
  • Support routine employee relations matters, including initial fact-finding, manager coaching, corrective action documentation, performance improvement plans, and tracking of open cases and follow-up actions.
  • Draft and update job descriptions and support job title, compensation, and organizational changes, including coordinating related workflows in Salesforce and Enboarder.
  • Provide recruiting support based on business needs, including routine intake meetings, job postings, resume review, candidate screening, interview planning and coordination, candidate communications, hiring manager follow-up, and recruiting reporting.
  • Support managers in effectively using HR and recruiting processes and tools, including Lever, performance processes, interview practices, documentation expectations, and other established HR practices.
  • Serve as the HR point of contact for employee transitions, including onboarding, transfers, manager changes, approved backfills, offboarding, and exit interviews, preparing managers for change and coordinating with HR Operations and other teams to ensure required activities are completed.
  • Support department climate surveys and other listening activities by organizing feedback, identifying themes, and tracking resulting action plans.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of progressive HR experience with exposure to multiple areas of human resources.
  • Experience supporting managers and employees with day-to-day HR questions, employee relations matters, and people processes.
  • Experience supporting HR projects, programs, or business initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Experience supporting recruiting activities, including candidate screening, interview coordination, and hiring manager partnership.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to draft job descriptions, employee communications, performance documentation, and other HR materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and follow-up activities.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, independently handle routine HR matters, and recognize when matters require escalation.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and HR partners.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and shift priorities based on changing business and HR needs.
