HR Manager Finland – Linde

Can you turn business priorities into a clear people agenda — and bring it to life in everyday work?

We are looking for a HR Manager Finland to lead Linde’s local HR function, partner with the Finnish leadership team and help develop the people and capabilities the business needs for the future.

This is an opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys both shaping direction and working through practical people matters. You will have a seat at the table, responsibility across Finland and the support of an international HR community.

A business that touches everyday life

From medical gases in hospitals to food preservation and industrial applications, Linde’s products and expertise support businesses and communities in ways that often go unseen.

In Finland, the business brings together production, sales, service technicians and support functions. Safety is central to how Linde operates, alongside accountability, inclusion and care for people.

The business is continuing to develop its organisation and ways of working, with a focus on efficiency, automation and closer customer relationships. HR has an active role in making that progress possible.

Your role: connect business direction with people decisions

As a HR Manager in Finland, you will work closely with the Finnish BU Director and leadership team to translate business priorities into practical people and organisational solutions. Your HR responsibility covers employees across Finland, including those working in regional support functions.

You will report to the Senior Director HR, Region Europe North (REN), and be part of the regional (REN) HR leadership team. You will lead one local HR professional whose responsibilities include payroll coordination and support for the blue-collar organisation. Regional colleagues in talent management, total rewards and people analytics will support your work.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Business partnering: advise and challenge leaders, support organisational decisions and anticipate future workforce needs.

  • Leadership and succession: identify and develop talent, strengthen leadership capabilities and build succession plans for key roles.

  • Employee relations: provide sound guidance on Finnish employment law and collective agreements, and lead or coordinate discussions with employee and union representatives.

  • Employee experience: lead recruitment, onboarding, development and engagement activities, building on the work already done to strengthen belonging and wellbeing.

  • Reliable HR delivery: oversee local HR operations, annual salary reviews and compliance, working with external payroll and HR service partners.

  • Continuous improvement: use people data, digital tools and regional collaboration to simplify processes and support better decisions.

A key priority will be developing future leaders within Finland. Linde values internal career progression, and you will help turn that ambition into concrete development opportunities.

You will also contribute to HR’s continued development as a proactive business partner. That requires the ability to look several years ahead while staying close to the details that matter today.

What will help you succeed?

You bring substantial HR experience and have worked closely with senior leaders. You understand how people decisions affect business performance, and you are comfortable taking ownership in a broad role.

We expect you to bring:

  • Around 8–10 years or more of progressive HR experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Finnish employment law, employee relations and collective agreements, particularly those covering white-collar employees.

  • Experience supporting organisational change and advising leadership teams.

  • Previous people leadership experience.

  • Confidence with HR systems, people analytics and digital tools, including an interest in practical AI applications.

  • A relevant university degree and fluent Finnish and English.

Experience in an international matrix organisation is valuable. A background in manufacturing or another environment with both blue-collar and white-collar employees would also be helpful. Previous experience in the gas industry is not required.

Your approach matters. You build trust, communicate clearly and have the courage to raise difficult questions. You enjoy developing the bigger picture and are equally willing to work through an individual employee matter or a process that needs attention.

Why join Linde?

You will take on a broad country HR role with direct access to business leadership and opportunities to influence leadership development, organisational performance and everyday employee experience.

You will build on an established foundation while having room to develop how HR supports the business. A close regional HR team will provide specialist expertise, shared learning and support during your onboarding and beyond.

The role is based at Linde’s Espoo office, with travel to Finnish sites as needed. The starting date will be agreed with the selected candidate.

Interested? Let’s talk.

We would like to hear what you have done, how you approach HR business partnering and what you would like to build next.

Apply through the application link by 12th October.

We review applications throughout the application period, so we encourage you to apply early rather than wait until the deadline.
