About Everest:

Everest is a global leader in risk management, rooted in a rich, 50+ year heritage of enabling businesses to survive and thrive, and economies to function and flourish. We are underwriters of risk, growth, progress and opportunity. We are a global team focused on disciplined capital allocation and long-term value creation for all stakeholders, who care deeply about our impact on communities and the wider world.

About the Role:

We are currently looking for an HR Project Manager based in our Warren, New Jersey headquarters to support a portfolio of strategic HR initiatives and technical HRIS projects. Reporting to the Head of Global People Services, this role will partner closely with HR, HRIS, IT, Talent, People Analytics, and other business stakeholders to plan, manage, and deliver projects that improve HR operations, enhance employee and manager experiences, and support Everest’s broader HR transformation agenda.

This position will be a hybrid schedule of working three days in office and two days remote each week.

Who You Are

You are a hands-on project manager who can move comfortably between business strategy and HR technology execution. You have experience managing complex, cross-functional projects, translating business needs into clear project plans, and driving work forward through structure, follow-up, and strong stakeholder partnership.

You bring strong execution discipline, sound judgment, and the ability to influence without direct authority. You can manage project scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, communications, and change impacts while keeping leaders and project teams aligned. You are comfortable supporting both strategic HR programs and more technical HRIS projects, including work that may involve process design, data, system enhancements, testing, configurations, and adoption.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of HR strategic initiatives and HRIS projects from planning through execution, ensuring scope, milestones, deliverables, risks, and decisions are clearly defined and actively managed.
  • Partner with HR, HRIS, IT, People Analytics, Talent, business leaders, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable project plans and clear workstreams.
  • Support technical HRIS projects by coordinating requirements, design discussions, testing activities, issue resolution, launch readiness, communications, and post-implementation follow-up.
  • Drive project governance, including status reporting, meeting agendas, decision logs, risk and issue tracking, stakeholder updates, and escalation of key dependencies.
  • Create clear, polished project materials for leadership, including presentations, project plans, timelines, dashboards, summaries, and recommendations.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and help design practical solutions that simplify work, improve controls, reduce manual effort, and strengthen the employee and manager experience.
  • Lead through influence, building trust with stakeholders and keeping teams focused, organized, and accountable for outcomes.
  • Support change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training coordination, readiness planning, and adoption tracking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally supporting HR, HR transformation, HR shared services, HR operations, HRIS, or enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Experience managing projects involving HR systems, process improvement, data, reporting, workflow design, testing, configurations, or system enhancements; Workday experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project management fundamentals, including planning, governance, stakeholder management, risk management, dependency tracking, and delivery execution.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, moving from high-level planning to detailed execution as needed.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations, project updates, and leadership-ready materials.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for senior leaders, project teams, technical partners, and operational stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; experience with project management tools and Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet commitments, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on practical, outcomes-oriented solutions.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail, including the ability to manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and follow-ups across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across HR, IT, business teams, and external partners.

The base salary range for this position is $102,000 - $124,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
