About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven HR Operations Specialist to join our North American team. This role is pivotal in supporting the scaling of our HR functions and ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and systems. The successful candidate will partner closely with the Director of Human Resources to build a scalable HR department that enhances the overall employee experience. The HR Operations Specialist will be responsible for maintaining employee records, managing HR systems, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. This role involves administering employee benefits, supporting payroll coordination, and assisting in performance management and total rewards processes. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and a commitment to maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Based in Burlington, MA, this hybrid role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing significantly to Nedap’s growth and operational excellence in North America.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in HR Operations, People Operations, HR Shared Services, or a broad HR Generalist role
- Strong knowledge of HR administration, benefits management, payroll coordination, and employment law compliance
- Experience managing and improving HR processes with a focus on efficiency and employee experience
- Proficiency with HRIS systems such as BambooHR or similar platforms (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical mindset with experience using HR metrics and reporting tools
- Experience working in a high-growth or dynamic environment (preferred)
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 10%)
- Hybrid work arrangement based in Burlington, MA, requiring in-office presence two days per week
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain accurate employee records, HR systems, and core HR processes to ensure data integrity and compliance
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless employee experience throughout the lifecycle
- Administer employee benefits programs, including supporting annual renewals and open enrollment periods
- Provide day-to-day support to employees on benefits-related inquiries and issues
- Assist in compensation review processes and contribute to total rewards initiatives
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and update employee policies and handbooks accordingly
- Coordinate HR training sessions for employees and managers to promote compliance and development
- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing by maintaining complete employee documentation
- Track, analyze, and report HR metrics to support decision-making and process improvements
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, programs, and procedures
- Support HR projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness and employee engagement
