We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Workday HRIS leader with deep expertise in Workday architecture, security, integrations, reporting and HR technology transformation. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading global HRIS initiatives, driving process automation, and partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver scalable, business-focused solutions. You should be passionate about continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, team leadership, and leveraging emerging technologies such as AI and Power Platform to enhance the employee experience and operational efficiency. What will you be doing? Strategy, Architecture & Governance: Own the Workday solution architecture across HCM, Absence, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, US Payroll, Talent, Performance and Learning. Define and drive the 3-year global Workday roadmap aligned to the Hire-to-Retire strategy. Chair the Design Authority / CAB; enforce configuration, change and release standards. Own the Workday security model — role framework, Segregation of Duties, SOX / ITGC readiness. Delivery & Operations: Lead HRIS delivery for key annual cycles — Performance Evaluation, Compensation Review (including bonus), ACA reporting. Provide ongoing HRIS support to the team, particularly Benefits administration, enrolment cycles, regulatory requirements and issue resolution. Oversee the HRIS support function — query resolution, SLAs and timely outcomes. Own data integrity in Workday — quality, accuracy, reporting, timeliness and usability across core systems and interfaces. Integrations, Reporting & Analytics: Define the integration strategy across the HR tech ecosystem; manage strategic vendors (Workday, AMS, LMS, etc.), contract renewals and performance feedback. Establish reporting, analytics and data governance frameworks across Workday and Power BI. Design and develop Workday reports that are secure, visually clear and easy for end users to interpret. Release Management & Continuous Improvement: Own the bi-annual Workday release cycle: Review release documentation against enabled modules; identify features that add value. Prepare impact and adoption papers for stakeholders. Lead regression testing across supported functional areas. Update process guides, training materials and user documentation. Drive automation and simplification via Power Automate and AI agents (Copilot Studio). Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Lead, coach and develop the HRIS team; build capability and succession. Act as a trusted advisor to HR, Finance, Compliance, IT and Senior Management on how to leverage HRIS for efficiency and seamless user experience. Design and deliver Workday training, including creating materials where required. Skills and Experience: Minimum 7 years hands-on Workday experience (within 8–14 years total HR/HRIS). Deep configuration experience across HCM, Performance & Development, Absence, US Payroll, US Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Security Groups, Business Processes, Report Writer and EIBs. Strong knowledge of Workday integrations. Proven experience managing a team and leading end-to-end projects (planning, stakeholder alignment, execution, accountability). Track record of driving continuous improvement of HR processes for a global organisation. Strong analytical skills — able to analyse and cleanse large data sets into workable business solutions. Excellent stakeholder management and communication — able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience in UAT and regression testing. Comfortable working under pressure across multiple deliverables and timelines. Educated to degree level or equivalent; self-motivated, detail-oriented and result-driven. Workday Pro certifications — HCM, Security, Integrations, Reporting. Experience in listed / regulated / global media, financial services or professional services organisations. Familiarity with AI in HR — Copilot Studio, agent design, LLM-enabled workflows. Prior consulting experience with Deloitte, Kainos, Alight, IBM, Accenture, PwC, Mercer or In visors is a plus.
