About the Client
Our client is a solo-run RevOps consultancy based in Toronto that helps startups and growth-stage companies (up to $20M ARR) optimize their marketing, sales, and customer success operations. They specialize in CRM health audits, HubSpot and Salesforce implementation, workflow automation, and building the systems that let scaling companies move past founder-led chaos into predictable, repeatable revenue. Trusted by clients precisely because they bring clarity and order when things get messy, the business has helped 20+ companies build lean, effective tech stacks — and is now looking for support to keep that same standard of excellence running behind the scenes.

Why does this role exist?
The business owner is the sole operator of a growing RevOps consultancy, and every hour spent on admin, invoicing, or fielding routine HubSpot questions is an hour not spent on billable client strategy work — the highest-value use of their time. This role exists to take full ownership of HubSpot-related client support and troubleshooting, becoming the trusted go-to person clients turn to instead of the owner. By doing so, this hire directly protects and grows the owner's billable capacity while ensuring clients continue to receive fast, reliable support with no drop in quality.

The Impact you’ll make

Client-Facing HubSpot Support
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client questions about HubSpot
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day HubSpot troubleshooting requests
  • Maintain a high standard of client communication that reflects the consultancy's reputation for clarity and reliability

Workflow & Automation Troubleshooting
  • Identify broken workflows and automations within client HubSpot portals
  • Interpret error messages, diagnose root causes, and resolve issues (leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT where helpful)
  • Escalate complex or high-risk issues appropriately, with clear documentation of what was tried

Workflow & Automation Build-Out
  • Build and optimize HubSpot workflows and automations as directed
  • Apply transferable automation logic from tools like Zapier or n8n where relevant
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve or simplify existing automations

Administrative & Operational Support
  • Support invoicing and other recurring administrative tasks
  • Assist with project coordination to keep client engagements on track
  • Help bring structure and formal process to previously unmanaged admin workflows

Proactive Ownership & Process Improvement
  • Flag recurring issues or patterns in client requests that point to bigger systemic fixes
  • Keep clear, organized records of common troubleshooting fixes for future reference
  • Anticipate needs and act independently, minimizing the need for oversight

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required:
  • Hands-on, end-user experience with HubSpot (not just superficial familiarity) — must have actively used the platform, not simply observed it
  • Demonstrated experience working across all major HubSpot objects (contacts, companies, deals, tickets, etc.)
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot broken workflows — reading error messages, diagnosing causes, and implementing fixes
  • Experience in a client-facing or customer support capacity, communicating clearly and professionally
  • Comfort using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to assist in research, diagnostics, or troubleshooting
Your superpowers are...

  • Technical:

    • Strong working knowledge of HubSpot across its core objects and features
    • Familiarity with workflow/automation logic, whether in HubSpot directly or via tools like Zapier or n8n
    • Sharp troubleshooting instincts — comfortable digging into an error and working it through to a resolution
    • Clear, professional written communication for client-facing correspondence

  • Soft Skills / Personality:

    • Highly organized, with a natural instinct to bring order to ambiguity
    • Proactive — you spot problems and next steps before being asked
    • A reliable self-starter who thrives with a hands-off manager and minimal daily oversight
    • Calm, clear communicator who can support a busy, sometimes distracted executive without needing constant direction
    • A genuine problem solver who enjoys figuring things out rather than escalating everything
WFH Set-Up:
  • Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
  • Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
  • Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
  • Back-up computer and internet connection
  • Quiet, dedicated workspace at home
You should apply if...
  • You take pride in being the person others can hand something messy to and trust it'll come back organized and solved. You don't need someone looking over your shoulder — you notice what needs to get done and just do it.
  • You genuinely enjoy the puzzle of troubleshooting: reading an error message, tracing it back to its cause, and fixing it feels satisfying rather than tedious.
  • You're comfortable being the dependable point of contact for clients, communicating with patience and professionalism even when things are a little chaotic.
  • You're excited by the idea of growing your HubSpot skill set further, with training and support along the way, rather than treating your current knowledge as the ceiling.
What to expect...

Work Setup:
  • Remote position
  • Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace
  • Required to provide own computer with Intel Core i5 or something similar or higher operating system
Working Hours:
  • 20 hours per week
  • Mon- Fri, 12 - 4pm EST
Compensation:
  • $7 per hour
  • No benefits package included
