ABOUT THE ROLE

The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for serving as a strategic and trusted advisor and coach to our leaders and managers on employee-related matters including Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Employee Relations, Performance Management etc.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Leadership, Counsel and Policy Interpretation:

  • Provide leadership, counsel and support to managers and supervisors on policy interpretation and other employee relations matters, including but not limited to: Hiring, On-Boarding, Retention, Performance Management, and General Employee Relations matters
  • Hold leaders accountable, manage pushback constructively, and provide data-driven insights when necessary
  • Coach leaders on team effectiveness, people issues and culture, performance management, conflict resolution and change leadership

Hire to Retire:

  • Partner with leaders in the end-to-end Hire to Retire people processes to include recruiting, onboarding and new hire orientations.
  • Lead the internship program, contractors and temporary hires to include recruiting, onboarding, experiential initiatives and offboarding.
  • Support off boarding processes to include terminations, PIPs, exit interviews etc.

Learning & Development, HR Strategy, Employee Involvement, HR Compliance, D & I, Employee Relations:

  • Identify, design and facilitate Learning and Development initiatives such as LinkedIn Learning, or other HC related topics that support operational goals.
  • Support Performance Management Process throughout the year including program updates, training, tracking and monitoring.
  • Participate and collaborate with other members of the Human Capital Team to develop departmental goals, objectives and projects to ensure an effective, sustainable, people strategy over the long-term.
  • Maintain visibility representing HC on teams or committees designated by HC leadership and physical presence as needed across our locations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Assist and support Affirmative Action program, policies and procedures.
  • Support D & I initiatives as needed.
  • Assist and support human resource procedures, policies and handbook interpretation and updates.
  • Conduct objective internal investigations into general employment matters and complaints with escalation as needed.

Data Analytics:

  • Identify and use various metrics and data to measure and support HC programs and strategy. Align these programs with business goals and assess their performance.
  • Embrace AI and other tools to support this effort. Run and utilize reports and analysis of data to support these efforts.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Minimum Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.

Licenses/Certifications Required

  • Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Minimum Specific Experience Required

  • 7-10 years of Human Resources Business Partner experience required.
  • Financial Services experience in an Asset Management or Wealth Management company strongly preferred.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsorship is available.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate well by all means of communication including written, verbal, and non-verbal communication.
  • Willingness to accept additional responsibilities.
  • Takes initiative in development and completion of projects with strong follow-through.
  • Ability to balance multiple demands and respond to time constraints, timelines and schedules.
  • Able and willing to continue with business skills and Human Resources development.
  • Considerable knowledge of employment laws and their application, especially Title VII, NLRB, FMLA, FCA, FLSA, ADA, ERISA, HIPPA.
  • UKG experience preferred
