Working within the Employee Services department and under the direction of the Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support for the Human Resources (HR) function, including filing and record management processes, creating and updating documentation, system entry, meeting coordination and financial process support. This position prioritizes internal and external customer service by ensuring current information is available, providing information and responding to or elevating inquiries. The Human Resources Coordinator will support the Human Resources team with recruitment and selection activities, onboarding and orientation, and departmental and organization-wide initiatives.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:
- Post-Secondary Certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Formal Records Management or HR System Administration Training would be considered assets.
- Minimum of two (2) years of Experience working in a Human Resources environment with familiarity with HR applicable legislation (Employment Standards, Human Rights, etc.).
- Excellent organizational skills, record management skills and proven time management skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite and the ability to navigate various software for reports, applicant tracking and employee profiles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including preparing and presenting professional documentation for all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task efficiently and handle information in a sensitive manner.
- Ability to primarily work in-person at Parkland County Centre – 53109A HWY 779, Parkland County, AB.
- A valid class 5 driver’s license and current, satisfactory driver’s abstract provided upon hire.
- A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required upon hire, excluding candidates under the age of 18 and current Parkland County employees.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
