The Human Resources Intern will play a meaningful role in supporting the employees of the house so that they can fully care for the families we serve. This role will have the opportunity to work across our HR services, including Talent Acquisition, Training & Development, Onboarding, and Culture-Building. In conjunction with the HR management team, this role will partner with leadership and individual contributors from different departments within the house. Examples include, but are not limited to, the Development, Programs, and Operations teams. This is an unpaid internship. This is a hybrid opportunity, working three days in the office and two days from home. Talent Acquisition: Assist with posting positions, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews. Contribute to providing a best-in-class experience for candidates interviewing for positions with the Ronald McDonald House New York. Participate in recruitment meetings and contribute to developing and executing sourcing strategies. Shadow and assist in conducting phone screens and in person interviews. Onboarding: Support pre‑hire and first‑day onboarding processes, including preparation of materials and coordinating welcome activities. Update onboarding checklists and ensure new hires have needed resources. Contribute to culture‑forward onboarding practices that promote early engagement and belonging. Training & Development: Assist with planning, coordinating, and tracking staff learning programs. Help update training content, gather feedback, and support skill building opportunities aligned with talent development principles Participate in selected HR meetings to understand how development initiatives align with organizational goals. Culture & Employee Experience: Support team‑building events and employee engagement as a member of the F.R.I.E.S. employee resource group. Assist in maintaining employee resource materials and communicating HR updates. Help monitor employee feedback trends and identify opportunities to strengthen culture and connection Qualifications: Prior HR internship or HR‑related coursework preferred.
