HR Officer - 12 Month contract
Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced HR Officer to join a well-established organisation supporting a busy multi-site operation across Dublin
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract offering the opportunity to work closely with operational leaders and make a genuine impact across employee relations, engagement and the wider employee lifecycle.
4 days on site with 1 day WFH
This role would suit an experienced HR Generalist or HR Officer who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment and is confident building strong relationships with managers and colleagues across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
• Provide end-to-end HR support across recruitment, onboarding, induction, probation, employee changes, offboarding, retirement processes, payroll administration and HR reporting
• Partner with operational managers on workforce planning, employee engagement, performance and attendance management
• Support employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances and absence management
• Attend employee relations meetings, take accurate minutes and support the preparation of relevant correspondence
• Provide practical guidance to managers and colleagues on HR policies, ensuring a fair and consistent approach
• Work with external recruitment agencies to support operational hiring requirements
• Support employee engagement, continuous improvement and people development initiatives
• Coordinate and contribute to employer branding and community initiatives
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems and documentation in line with GDPR and internal requirements
• Build positive working relationships with managers and employees across a multi-site environment
Requirements
• Minimum of three years' experience as an HR Officer, HR Generalist or in a similar HR position
• Previous HR experience within supply chain, warehousing, distribution, FMCG or another fast-paced operational environment
• Practical experience supporting employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary matters, grievances and absence management
• Experience supporting recruitment, ideally within a high-volume operational setting
• Strong working knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice
• Degree or professional qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
• CIPD qualification, equivalent accreditation or currently working towards accreditation
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence supporting stakeholders at different levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information professionally
• A flexible and collaborative approach, with the ability to support a multi-shift operation when required
