About the Role

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
We are looking for a Hybrid (AD/AE) to join our team to manage a large book of existing clients and generate new opportunities within Academic, Government, Not for Profit and Healthcare organisations. You will be responsible for managing your existing book of business, responding to inbound inquiries as well as generating your own leads through outbound activity. You will strategically approach Academic, Government, Healthcare and Not for Profit bodies, to identify the best technology options. Although you strive to meet and exceed quota, you will always act in the best interest of the client.
Responsibilities:
Prospect relentlessly to build pipeline and build strong personal relationships with prospects
Create reliable forecasts and be completely transparent with management on the pipeline status
Manage and provide best in class customer management experience for existing clients
Grow existing clients while focusing on zero churn
Close new business consistently at or above quota level
Manage multiple complex sales processes simultaneously
Articulate LinkedIn unique value proposition to senior business leaders
Develop and execute on a strategic plan for the territory and document and distribute competitive information
Work to develop and circulate the set of best practices that will be the foundation of this team
Listen to the needs of the market and share insights with product and marketing teams
Be proactive about solving problems even if it’s outside of your area and be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge
Seek out opportunities to be a leader and do everything you can to help the company achieve its larger objectives
Travel required (approximately 30% of the time)
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of applicable sales experience
Fluency in English and Portuguese
1+ years Public Sector sales/quota carrying experience
Experience of working with Academic or Government or Not for Profit environments
Experience dealing with RFP’s and tenders
Preferred Qualifications:
Account Executive and Account Director experience
Experience selling SaaS solutions and/or learning industry
Knowledge of software contract terms and conditions with the ability to create fair transactions
Knowledge and experience in managing a highly complex sales process is a plus
Strong negotiation and accurate forecasting skills
Demonstrated ability to find, manage and close high-level business in an evangelist sales environment
Ability to assess business opportunities and use data to inform decision making and persuade others
Ability to manage a large number of prospect situations simultaneously while positioning company products against direct and indirect competitors
