VIATEQ Corporation is looking for an ICAM Migration Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our Prime contractor and government customer. This is a remote role based out of the Montgomery, AL area. This position requires an active Secret clearance at minimum.

The ICAM Migration Subject Matter Expert will serve as the primary technical director uniting access management and identity governance into a cohesive Zero Trust architecture. This position will design and execute high-throughput application onboarding lanes, leveraging automated DevSecOps deployment models to rapidly integrate legacy workloads across enterprise platforms like Okta and SailPoint without disrupting mission operations. By establishing standardized migration playbooks and coordinating specialized engineering teams, the role ensures that each transition strictly adheres to the client’s compliance and continuous authentication mandates. Ultimately, the ICAM Migration SME will act as the strategic cornerstone between technical execution and client leadership, accelerating the delivery of a secure, unified enterprise identity fabric at an unprecedented scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical authority for integrating access management and identity governance into a unified Zero Trust architecture across enterprise environments.
  • Design and execute scalable, high-throughput application onboarding and migration processes to integrate legacy and modern workloads with enterprise platforms such as Okta and SailPoint while minimizing mission disruption.
  • Implement automated migration pipelines and repeatable deployment workflows to accelerate application onboarding, configuration, testing, and production releases.
  • Develop and maintain standardized migration playbooks, technical procedures, validation criteria, and rollback plans to ensure consistent, secure, and repeatable ICAM transitions.
  • Coordinate engineers, application owners, cybersecurity teams, infrastructure teams, and client stakeholders to resolve migration dependencies, manage risks, and maintain delivery timelines.
  • Ensure all migrations meet client security policies, regulatory requirements, identity governance controls, least-privilege principles, and continuous authentication mandates.
  • Translate technical migration strategies, execution risks, and program milestones into actionable recommendations for client leadership, supporting informed decisions and enterprise-wide adoption.

Required Education and Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise ICAM Identity and Access Management and Authorization support for a federal customer
  • Okta Certified Consultant Certification
  • Active Secret Clearance or higher

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM), Identity and Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), federation, and lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise identity platforms such as Okta and SailPoint, including application integrations, access policies, provisioning, governance workflows, and identity lifecycle processes.
  • Deep understanding of Zero Trust principles, least-privilege access, continuous authentication, privileged access controls, and enterprise identity security architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess legacy applications, resolve authentication and authorization dependencies, and execute complex enterprise migrations with minimal operational disruption.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), API integrations, scripting, automated testing, and repeatable deployment practices using tools such as Git, Terraform, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Working knowledge of security control frameworks and compliance requirements, such as NIST SP 800-53, FICAM, and applicable FedRAMP or agency-specific mandates.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, establish technical standards, manage migration risks, and communicate complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to design repeatable onboarding processes, manage high-volume application migration backlogs, track delivery metrics, and maintain service availability throughout enterprise transitions.

Compensation Range:
