Identity & Security Engineer

The Identity & Security Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, implementation and monitoring of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and security controls across the organization, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 security technologies.

Main Accountabilities

• Monitors and investigate security alerts using Microsoft Defender XDR.

• Contributes to the day-to-day operations of IAM, Active Directory, Entra ID , DLP and PAM operations.
• Assists with endpoint/server security, patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Supports Microsoft 365 security and security investigations.
• Maintains and continuously update the security knowledge base, technical documentation and procedures for security platforms and projects.
• Gains hands-on experience across multiple security technologies and projects, with opportunities to develop skills and gradually take ownership of security solutions.
• Participates in security projects, troubleshooting, automation and continuous security improvements.

Education, Experience and Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree or relevant certifications will be considered an asset.
• Approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience in IT or Security, ideally with exposure to Identity and Access Management.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Knowledge of IAM/PAM concepts, MFA, Conditional Access and Microsoft 365 security technologies.
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration and networking fundamentals.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, analytical thinking and willingness to learn.
• Certifications such as Microsoft SC-900, SC-200, SC-300, AZ-900, CompTIA Security+ will be considered an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek.
