🧭 Navigating the position: Implementation Director
We are seeking a full-time experienced Implementation Director to lead the project management team within OneOcean, providing execution and delivery discipline to deliver our suite of maritime products to our customer base company vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery Leadership. Own the end-to-end project delivery function across all customer implementations, acting as an escalation point for any project issues.
- Team Leadership and People management. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6 Project Managers and PMO personnel establishing clear goals, performance metrics, and development plans. Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and customer success.
- PMO and Governance. Define and maintain project management standards, frameworks, methodologies, and governance processes. Ensure consistent reporting across all programmes and projects. Develop portfolio dashboards and executive reporting for senior leadership.
- Customer and Stakeholder Management. Build trusted relationships with executive customer stakeholders. Participate in project kick-offs, steering committees, and executive reviews. Act as senior point of contact for escalated customer concerns.
- Track and deliver synergy, cost-saving, and performance improvement targets.
- Lead cross-functional teams and third-party partners to achieve programme objectives.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 10+ years of project and programme management experience.
- 5+ years in a senior leadership position managing project delivery teams.
- Experience within SaaS, software, cloud, or technology organisations delivering projects and programmes.
- Proven track record leading multiple concurrent customer implementations
- Experience managing PMO functions and organisational governance frameworks.
- Experience working with executive stakeholders and enterprise customers.
- Strong programme and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the company.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
- General business knowledge across core business functions and saas/tech/maritime.
- PowerPoint, Excel, PM tooling e.g. Asana, Monday, Smartsheets, Jira, Microsoft Project
- Industry and consulting experience.
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- Programme management qualification (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, PMP) desirable.
