Job Description Summary Industry Unit Business Leader GE Vernova | Power Conversion & Storage — North Europe Rugby, UK (Hybrid: approximately 4 days on-site, 1 day remote per week) ________________________________________ The Opportunity GE Vernova's Power Conversion & Storage business is expanding into data centres, into rail, and into new markets across North Europe. This role carries full profit and loss (P&L) accountability for that growth. You will lead an established industrial portfolio today and build the business unit that sits behind it tomorrow. Job Description What You Will Do You will take ownership of a business unit that is both executing today and building for tomorrow. Your remit spans commercial leadership, operational delivery, team development, and strategic growth. Own full P&L accountability for the North Europe industrial portfolio, including revenue, cost, margin, and forecasting across new equipment and project execution Lead and grow a cross-functional team , currently anchored by a Senior Project Manager and 12 direct reports, with engineering and sales functions expected to come under your remit as the business scales into data centres and rail Drive commercial and strategic growth by identifying new opportunities, supporting sales pursuits, and shaping the strategic roadmap for the business unit across industrial, data centre, and rail sectors Ensure disciplined project execution across a portfolio of projects ranging from £10 million to £70 million, working closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) on risk management, planning, and customer delivery Engage at senior level with customers and internal stakeholders, leading complex commercial negotiations and sustaining long-term customer relationships Build the organisation — attracting and developing talent, embedding high standards across safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and creating the structure needed to scale Who You Are You bring a combination of commercial sharpness, operational discipline, and the people leadership capability to build a team around a growing mandate. You may be coming from a confirmed business unit director role, or you may be a senior commercial or project leader ready to take the next step. Both paths are genuinely valued here. Required Demonstrated accountability for a significant P&L, whether as the owner of a full business unit or as a senior leader with direct budget and commercial responsibility for a major portfolio Background in project management or commercial leadership within electrical, power, or industrial engineering as well as experience from comparable systems integrators is directly relevant A track record of winning new business, developing markets, and growing scope beyond the status quo Experience leading complex commercial negotiations across varied customers and contractual frameworks Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence across functions in a matrixed organisation Familiarity with the UK industrial market Preferred Experience in data centre infrastructure, rail electrification, or adjacent high-growth sectors Product familiarity with BESS, synchronous condensers, or integrated electrical system solutions Experience working with or for global systems integrators (GSIs) on large-scale projects Education A formal degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline is a strong foundation, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
