Nine countries. Fifteen people on the team. Not nearly enough of them free on Sundays. That's the gap you'd fill.
Our system records linear TV channels and pulls out everything that might be an ad. Only a fraction of it actually is. The team, mostly contractors across Poland and Italy plus a few colleagues in the US, decides which clips are ads and which aren't, then tags the ones that are. We're adding another market in January, volume keeps growing, and right now the team is stretched thin. Sundays most of all.
What you'd actually do
Look at what the system flags, decide whether it's an ad, and apply the metadata, following the rulebook for that country. There are a lot of rules, and every market has its own. You'd start with a structured training block with Riccardo, then work the queue alongside the team. German is the language we're thinnest on, so that's the one we're hiring for first.
It's repetitive, especially in the first weeks.
What you need to already be good at
-
Fluent English and German. You'll work in both
-
Steady, structured work. Office, shifts, client-facing, whatever it was, you know what showing up consistently looks like
-
Attention to detail. You can follow a long rulebook and apply it the same way on the hundredth clip as on the first
-
32–40 hours a week, every Sunday
-
"Information specialist" sounds like databases and queries to you. It's not that job. Nobody here will ask you to write SQL.
-
You need variety to stay engaged. You'll be making the same kind of decision all day.
-
Sundays are negotiable. They aren't, and we won't rotate them.
-
You're looking for a stopgap to leave in a few months. Training takes real time, and we're hiring someone to stay.
Bonus points
French · Italian · Polish · Spanish · subtitling, transcription or localization QC · content moderation or data labelling · familiarity with TV advertising and brands
Not for you if
How we judge you, and how it goes
Skills we teach, attitude we don't. Every hire is scored on the same five things: determined yet resilient, naturally curious, low-ego, self-aware, results oriented. For this role that means: you keep your quality up when the work is repetitive, you ask when a rule doesn't fit, you're good with a team that's stretched, you know honestly whether this work suits you, and your tagging is right.
Riccardo is watching for one thing above all: that you understand what the job is from the start, and that you're reliable.
Why now
We're Series C, ~$100M raised, pre-IPO, growing 30% YoY, 18 years in. For this team, that growth means more markets and more volume. Another country comes online in January, and we want you trained before it does.
