About the Position

Arcadia is seeking an IT Manager to oversee and maintain the organisation’s core technology environment.The role is responsible for the effective administration, security, and continuous improvement of Arcadia’s digital infrastructure, primarily based on Google Workspace and Wix. This includes ensuring system reliability, enforcing access controls, maintaining data integrity, and supporting the organisation’s operational requirements across all departments. You will be responsible for 3 IT Officers, 3 IT Specialists, leading a total of 6. The IT Manager will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and department leads to ensure that systems are structured, consistently used, and aligned with organisational needs. The role also involves identifying areas for improvement within existing processes and implementing practical, scalable solutions.The position requires a high level of accountability, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently within a remote, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure Management (Google Workspace)

• Administer the organisation’s Google Workspace environment, including user provisioning, organisational units, access controls, and security configurations. Ensure consistent and structured use across all departments.

Website Operations (Wix)

• Oversee the technical operation of the organisation’s Wix-based website, including CMS structure, performance monitoring, and issue resolution. Coordinate with design teams to ensure proper implementation.

Access Control and Security

• Define and enforce access permissions and security protocols. Ensure that data access is role-based and aligned with organisational requirements.

System Standardisation

• Establish and maintain standards for system usage, including file structures, naming conventions, and internal workflows. Reduce inconsistencies across teams.

Skills and Competencies

Google Workspace Administration (Not mandatory but desired)

• Practical experience managing Google Workspace environments, including Admin Console, user roles, and security settings.

Website Platform Knowledge (Wix) (Not Required but would be advantage)

• Working knowledge of Wix, including CMS structure, permissions, and basic troubleshooting.

Operational Discipline

• Ability to enforce structure, maintain consistency, and ensure adherence to defined processes.

Problem Solving

• Ability to identify issues and resolve them efficiently using practical and proportionate solutions.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, required.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or infrastructure management with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role overseeing technological infrastructure. Experience in the non-profit sector, particularly with international or mission-driven organisations, is highly desirable but not required.
• Proven experience in leading and managing cross-functional technology teams, including IT officers, web designers, and digital strategists. Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performance teams that drive innovation and digital transformation.
• Experience in defining and implementing IT policies, access controls, and system standards within an organisation.
• Strong advisory experience as a trusted technology consultant and primary point of contact on all tech-related matters for executive boards and senior leadership. Ability to provide clear, actionable insights and guidance on complex technological challenges and strategies.
• Proficiency in cloud technologies, enterprise-level IT systems, and emerging tech trends. Familiarity with system integration, user experience design, and digital communications platforms is a strong asset. Experience managing Google Workspace environments, including user access, organisational structuring, and security configuration, highly desired.
• Fluency in English (CEFR C1) is required.
• Comfortable with flexible working arrangements, including part-time commitment, contributing 8–10 hours (20%) per week, with the ability to work remotely and choose working hours.
