About the Role

We are seeking a talented, service-minded and technically strong IT & Technical Consultant to join Finvent’s Athens-based Investment & Risk Management Software Unit.

In this role, you will support client and internal infrastructure environments, technical implementations, system upgrades, security readiness, documentation and technology operations. You will work closely with consulting, engineering and client-facing teams to deliver reliable, secure and well-documented technical solutions for investment-management clients across EMEA.

What will you do

• Install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot Finvent and SS&C Advent-related technical environments.
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, SQL Server, VMware, Hyper-V, storage, backup and related infrastructure components.
• Support infrastructure design, deployment, hardening, monitoring and maintenance for internal and client environments.
• Configure networks, firewall rules, access controls and security protocols in cooperation with internal and client IT teams.
• Support Advent product upgrades, patch releases, environment readiness checks and technical implementation activities.
• Collaborate with Advent Professional Services, Finvent consultants and engineering colleagues on technical deployments and client projects.
• Analyze client business and technical requirements and translate them into practical infrastructure, configuration and implementation actions.
• Identify integration points between client workflows, systems, databases and Advent or Finvent solutions.
• Configure, automate and document technical solutions to align with client procedures and operational controls.
• Create and maintain system configuration notes, technical diagrams, SOPs, implementation checklists and handover documentation.
• Support user and administrator training where technical understanding is required.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting or administration tools where this improves reliability, efficiency or repeatability.
• Track technical issues, risks and follow-up actions clearly and escalate blockers early.
• Participate in product, technology, and security certification programs as needed.

You may be a fit if you have

• 3–5 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, technical consulting, application support, implementation support or a closely related technical role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, SQL Server, VMware, Hyper-V, backup, storage and network administration concepts.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, system hardening, vulnerability assessment, access management and secure configuration practices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, Dynamics or other Microsoft cloud technologies is a strong advantage.
• Experience with firewalls, networking, VPNs, remote access, patching, monitoring and technical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read, understand and document technical architectures, system dependencies, configuration details and operational procedures.
• Experience deploying or supporting technology across multiple client sites or geographically distributed environments.
• Relevant university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or another technical field; postgraduate studies are welcome.
• Very good communication skills in English and Greek; additional European languages are welcome.
• European passport or valid EU working visa is required.
• Interest in fintech, financial services, investment management, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud technologies or enterprise software; prior financial industry knowledge is a plus but not required.
• A practical, reliable and service-oriented mindset, with strong ownership, documentation discipline, problem-solving ability and willingness to learn.
