Job Description
One of our best clients, a large and well-established enterprise in Tokyo, is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join its internal IT Operations team.
The company is currently undergoing a major digital and IT transformation, investing significantly in modernizing its internal technology environment and moving from traditional infrastructure operations toward a more cloud-oriented, standardized, and automated IT platform.
As part of this transformation, they are strengthening their internal infrastructure capabilities and are looking for an engineer who can support both the stable operation of the existing environment and the development of the company’s next-generation IT infrastructure.

You will work across a hybrid environment combining on-premise infrastructure and cloud technologies, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience with modern enterprise solutions such as Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, ServiceNow, Tanium, Azure, AWS, VMware, and automation technologies.
About the Team
The core team currently consists of 1 Manager and 1 Engineer, giving you the opportunity to take broad ownership rather than being limited to a narrow technical area.
The company is actively improving infrastructure visibility, standardization, and automation using solutions such as ServiceNow, Tanium, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID.

The exact scope of responsibilities can be adjusted based on your experience and technical strengths.
What to Expect After Joining
First 1–3 months
You will work with the existing team to understand the current infrastructure, system architecture, operational procedures, regular maintenance activities, and incident response processes.
You will gradually take responsibility for daily operations and incident handling while improving and organizing technical documentation.
After 6–12 months
You will take ownership of specific infrastructure areas and independently handle:
- Infrastructure operations
- Incident response
- Configuration changes
- Vendor coordination
- Operational improvements
You will also have opportunities to participate in projects involving cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, ServiceNow, Tanium, automation, and IT operational standardization.
Requirements
Requirements
Must Have
- 3+ years of server operations experience with Windows Server OR Linux
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, routers, switches, and general network fundamentals

What They Are Looking For
The company is looking for someone who can combine technical infrastructure knowledge with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
You should be comfortable:
- Working with internal users, other IT teams, and external vendors
- Investigating technical issues independently
- Organizing information and proposing solutions

Why Join?
This is an opportunity to join a large and highly established enterprise at a major point of technology transformation.

With a small core team and significant modernization initiatives underway, this position offers substantial ownership and the opportunity to directly influence how the company’s next-generation IT environment is built.
