• Review, challenge and consolidate existing manufacturing processes and technical data.
• Define and validate manufacturing routings by product / flow family.
• Challenge cycle-time, capacity, batch-size, WIP and buffer assumptions.
• Review product-to-machine allocation and equipment interfaces.
• Consolidate controlled input data required for industrial process and material-flow simulation and interface with the Simulation Supplier.
• Review and challenge simulation outputs, bottlenecks, material flows and proposed layouts.
• Support industrial integration of forging and ring-rolling processes.
• Develop and/or consolidate Thermal Processing & Heat Treatment requirements, including billet heating, reheating/equalisation, cooling/quenching and final heat treatment.
• Address manufacturing constraints associated with nickel-based, titanium, steel and aluminium aerospace alloys.
• Identify interfaces with utilities, material handling, inspection, NDT, laboratory and other industrial systems.

• Aerospace manufacturing / engine components
• Forging and Ring Rolling
• Metallurgy and advanced metallic alloys
• Heat Treatment / Thermal Processing
• Manufacturing Engineering / Industrialisation
• Production routing, cycle-time validation and process definition
• Industrial layout, material flow and equipment integration • Greenfield manufacturing facilities
Strong expertise in thermal processing and metallurgy is particularly important. The consultant should be able to understand and challenge industrial sequences such as : Furnace fi Forging Press fi Reheating / Equalisation fi Ring Rolling fi Cooling / Quenching fi Heat Treatment fi Downstream Processes Knowledge of pyrometry environments and standards such as AMS2750 is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate has 20 to 25+ years of experience and has held positions such as Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Industrialisation Manager, Manufacturing/Process Engineering Lead, Forging & Ring Rolling Expert, Metallurgy/Heat Treatment Lead or Manufacturing Integration Consultant. Initial mobilisation on site in Al Ain, UAE is preferred; a hybrid/remote working model may subsequently be considered depending on the consultant and project requirements.
