The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Injury Management Advisor to join our People & Culture team at our Universal Store Support Office in Eagle Farm. Reporting to the Head of People Analytics & Governance, you'll take ownership of end-to-end injury management, workers compensation claims, return-to-work programs, and employee wellbeing initiatives across our national business. This is a role where you'll collaborate closely with leaders, employees, healthcare professionals, rehabilitation providers and insurers to achieve positive outcomes while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. You'll play a key role in supporting injured team members through recovery, enabling safe and sustainable return-to-work outcomes, driving early intervention strategies, and contributing to a culture where safety, wellbeing and care for our people remain a priority. Key responsibilities include: Managing workplace and non-work-related injury and illness cases from initial notification through to resolution Developing, implementing and monitoring Suitable Duties Plans and return-to-work programs Supporting injured employees, managers and stakeholders throughout the injury management process Managing Workers Compensation and WorkCover claims, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and timeframes Acting as the primary liaison with insurers, rehabilitation providers, medical practitioners and other external stakeholders Driving early intervention strategies to support recovery and minimise claim duration and costs Maintaining accurate injury, incident and claims documentation, records and reporting Monitoring and reporting on injury trends, claim performance and premium impacts Designing, coordinating and continuously improving employee wellness and wellbeing initiatives Providing coaching and guidance to leaders on injury management, return-to-work obligations and best-practice approaches Contributing to the review and enhancement of injury management, return-to-work and WHS policies and procedures What we’re Looking For We're seeking a proactive and compassionate injury management professional who can balance employee wellbeing with operational and legislative requirements. You'll be a strong relationship builder who is confident managing multiple stakeholders and navigating complex cases with empathy and professionalism. You'll bring: Experience in injury management, workers compensation, rehabilitation, return-to-work coordination or a related field Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health, Rehabilitation Counselling, Human Resources, WHS or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience Demonstrated experience managing WorkCover and workers compensation claims within an Australian jurisdiction Proven experience developing and managing Suitable Duties Plans and return-to-work programs Strong understanding of workers compensation legislation and workplace health and safety requirements Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills Strong case management, negotiation and problem-solving capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting insights to stakeholders Highly developed organisational skills with strong attention to detail The ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion, professionalism and empathy A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and delivering positive outcomes What We Offer A vibrant, collaborative workplace culture with a supportive and growth driven leadership team Exclusive staff discounts across our brands, plus access to partner deals and offers through Flare Free on-site parking and generous facilities at our modern, purpose-built Support Office located in Eagle Farm Learning & Development opportunities - Grow your career with us!
