Inside Sales Representative ATEX | Dutch & English

Are you a service-minded sales professional with excellent Dutch & English skills, looking for a role where you can build lasting customer relationships while keeping orders and quotations running smoothly? We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative on behalf of our client, a Dutch construction project company.

This role is largely remote, with one day worked from the office roughly every one to two weeks to stay connected with the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

Account & Customer Management

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients within the oil and gas sector, handling enquiries on product availability, pricing, and delivery
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with contacts across the client's sites in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany
• Resolve order issues and service queries promptly, with an awareness of the client's fast-moving project schedules
• Adapt your communication style to a dynamic environment where priorities and requirements can shift quickly

Quotation & Sales Support

• Prepare accurate quotations covering a wide product range, from general maintenance items to specialist ATEX-certified electrical components
• Identify opportunities to grow the account through upselling and broadening the product mix
• Support colleagues working on the same international account, including counterparts based abroad
• Join client-facing visits from time to time alongside a senior colleague, rather than independently

Order Processing & Coordination

• Process orders accurately and track them through to delivery
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics colleagues, including international colleagues managing the same client relationship, to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment
• Manage returns, credits, and related administrative queries

Commercial Administration

• Maintain accurate pricing and account data in company systems
• Support margin and profitability tracking for the account

Internal Collaboration

• Work closely with colleagues managing the same international client account
• Share market and product knowledge with the wider sales team as your own knowledge builds
• Contribute to a flexible, fast-paced way of working, and adapt as circumstances or workload change

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an internal sales, sales support, or customer-facing commercial role
• Practical knowledge of ATEX-certified (explosion-proof) products, gained through work in the oil and gas sector or as a supplier to it
• Professional fluency in Dutch and English
• Comfortable adapting quickly in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change on short notice
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and standard business software
• Background in electrical distribution, technical wholesale, industrial supply, or a related field is a big plus
• Familiarity with ERP and/or CRM systems is a plus

What We Offer

• €37,800-€41,000 gross per year, depending on experience (8% holiday allowance included)

• 25 vacation days per year, plus the Christmas shutdown period and all standard Dutch public holidays
• Flexible, largely remote working arrangement, with occasional visits to the office to stay connected with the wider team

• Ongoing product and technical training. No prior ATEX certification is required to start
• 1-year contract, 40 hours per week
