Company Description WHOlivesorg (Water, Health, and Opportunity) is dedicated to addressing scarce and contaminated water issues affecting over 1 billion people worldwide. The organization uses the innovative Village Drill to create deep water boreholes that provide sustainable water access for underserved communities. Its approach focuses on self-empowerment, onsite training, and long-lasting water solutions that strengthen local capacity. WHOlivesorg also advocates for Women’s Health and Opportunity, actively working to eliminate violence and exploitation, including cutting, selling, and trafficking of young girls. Team members contribute to both clean water access and broader health and human rights initiatives.
Role Description This full-time, remote Instructional Designer role is responsible for creating engaging learning experiences that support WHOlivesorg’s water, health, and empowerment initiatives. The Instructional Designer will analyze learning needs, design curricula, and develop training materials for diverse audiences, including staff, volunteers, and community partners. Daily tasks include designing instructional content (e.g., e-learning modules, facilitator guides, job aids, and multimedia resources), aligning learning objectives with organizational goals, and maintaining consistency in tone and quality. The role involves collaborating with subject matter experts, collecting feedback to refine training programs, and supporting effective use of learning management tools. The Instructional Designer will also help evaluate learning outcomes and recommend improvements to enhance training impact and learner engagement.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess skills in Needs Analysis and Learning Management to assess training requirements and support effective delivery and tracking of learning programs.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Instructional Design and Curriculum Development to create structured, learner-centered content and programs that meet organizational objectives.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Training & Development to implement, facilitate, and continuously improve training initiatives across remote and global audiences.
  • Relevant experience with e-learning authoring tools, virtual training platforms, and multimedia content creation is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Training & Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
  • Strong written and visual communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, mission-driven environment are essential.
  • Experience in international development, public health, or social impact organizations, and familiarity with cross-cultural learning contexts, is an advantage.
