Instructional Designer
Remote (Based at an approved local secure facility). We work US time zones and ask that you're available during those hours, even if that means adjusting your schedule.
About The Role
This role exists to design effective learning experiences that help professionals acquire critical skills and knowledge. You will develop curricula grounded in learning theory and create assessments that measure learner progress. Your work is highly autonomous—you make decisions about course structure, content, and evaluation methods. The team is internationally distributed and works primarily asynchronously through documentation and recorded updates. You own the complete instructional design process from initial planning through implementation.
What You'll Do
Design curricula that align with learning objectives and learner needs using established instructional design principles.
Develop assessments to measure learning outcomes and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional materials.
Structure course content and learning modules using Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or H5P authoring tools.
Deploy learning courses to learning management systems (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle) and manage learner progress.
Analyze learner feedback and performance data to identify gaps and improve training program quality.
What We're Looking For
Knowledge of learning theory and instructional design methodologies and best practices.
Experience developing and structuring curriculum for formal or informal learning environments.
Proficiency designing assessments that measure learning outcomes and learner achievement.
Hands-on experience with Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate for creating interactive learning content.
Experience deploying and managing courses in learning management systems (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, or H5P).
Between 1–5 years of professional instructional design experience, or 5+ years at mid-senior level.
