Role Description

The Insurance Broker Assistant is a full-time role supporting brokers in delivering timely and accurate insurance services to clients.

Remote working arrangements considered for the right candidate.

Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing quotes and policy documentation, assisting with renewals, endorsements, and and maintaining up-to-date client records in internal systems. The role involves gathering and verifying client information, liaising with insurers and other stakeholders under broker guidance, and tracking key dates and follow-ups to ensure smooth policy management. Collaboration with brokers and other team members is essential to provide efficient client service and uphold HIB’s professional standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with Insight and OfficeTech are essential
• Minimum of 3 years experience in Insurance Broking
• Relevant industry qualification (Tier 1 preferred)
• Strong administrative and organisational skills, including accurate data entry, document management, and attention to detail.
• Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders via phone, email, and online platforms
• Proficiency with office software and digital tools, including word processing, spreadsheets, CRM or brokerage systems, and remote collaboration tools.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines reliably.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills to support quote preparation, policy comparisons, and claims documentation
