Work Arrangement: Work from Home

Location: Colombia - Bogotá

Schedule: Morning/Night Shift

Job description:

This role is responsible for assisting with renewals, marketing and quoting, policy servicing, underwriting follow-up, client communication, and maintaining accurate account documentation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced independent insurance agency environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional who enjoys client service, takes ownership of their work, and understands the importance of staying ahead of commercial insurance renewals.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Lines Account Servicing

• Provide day-to-day service and support for assigned commercial insurance accounts.
• Respond to client requests and assist with policy changes, endorsements, coverage questions, renewals, and other servicing needs.
• Develop strong professional relationships with clients by providing responsive, accurate, and courteous service.
• Work closely with Account Executives, Account Managers, carriers, MGAs, wholesalers, and underwriters to resolve account needs.

Renewal Management

• Assist with the commercial renewal process and maintain established renewal timelines.
• Prepare renewal information approximately 90 days prior to expiration, including current and prior-term policy information, coverage details, loss information, applications, and other required documentation.
• Follow up approximately 60 days prior to renewal to ensure updated exposure information and renewal instructions have been received and accounts are ready for marketing.
• Work with the Account Manager to help ensure renewal proposals and binding information are completed at least 7 days prior to renewal.
• Proactively identify and escalate potential delays before they create coverage or renewal issues.

Marketing, Quoting & Underwriting

• Assist with marketing and quoting both new and renewal commercial accounts.
• Prepare applications and gather required underwriting and exposure information.
• Submit accounts to approved carriers, MGAs, wholesalers, and online quoting platforms.
• Follow up with underwriters regarding submissions, quotes, binders, endorsements, policy changes, and outstanding requirements.
• Respond to underwriting questions and obtain additional information as needed.
• Communicate quote status, issues, and delays to the appropriate internal team members.

New Business Support

• Assist Account Executives with preparing and quoting new commercial business.
• Gather underwriting information and assist with completing applications and submissions.
• Track submissions and follow up with markets to ensure opportunities continue moving forward.
• Maintain prospective client information and policy expiration dates for future opportunities.

Non-negotiable skills and requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of Commercial Lines insurance experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance policies, coverages, endorsements, applications, and terminology
• Experience working with commercial insurance carriers, MGAs, wholesalers, and underwriters
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts, renewals, and competing deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional and client-focused communication style
• Strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Account Executives and Account Managers
• Comfortable identifying cross-selling and new business opportunities
