- Litigation & Strategy: Develop comprehensive case strategies, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents, and conduct/defend depositions.
- Court Appearances: Handle court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and trial preparations.
- Ownership: Take full ownership of significant litigation matters with minimal supervision.
- Client Relations: Maintain strong, professional relationships with insurance carriers, claims professionals, self-insured entities, and corporate clients.
- Business Development: Help expand the firm's insurance defense presence throughout Western Pennsylvania and build robust regional relationships.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Required Education & Licensure: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and an active Pennsylvania law license.

- Skills: Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong Pluses: Large loss or high-exposure insurance defense experience; trial and significant deposition experience; representation of insurance carriers or self-insured entities; expertise in general liability, automobile liability, premises liability, or trucking/transportation litigation; existing regional relationships, business development experience, or a portable book of business.
- Preferred: Deep familiarity with the Western Pennsylvania legal market, an established professional network in the region, and an entrepreneurial approach to practice growth.
Work Environment & Opportunities
- Location: Fully remote (Western Pennsylvania, PA).
- Growth & Leadership: For the right candidate, group, or small established practice with portable business, this role offers the potential to develop into a broader leadership and practice-building opportunity.
