We are looking for an Insurance Specialist to bring strong insurance domain knowledge into Scry AI’s product, client, and business initiatives. This role will support insurance workflows, analyze industry requirements, and help ensure our solutions address practical challenges across underwriting, claims, policy administration, and insurance operations.
Role Overview
As an Insurance Specialist at Scry AI, you will work closely with product, engineering, sales, and client-facing teams to provide insurance domain knowledge and support insurance-focused use cases. You will analyze existing processes, documentation requirements, business rules, and operational challenges to help teams build and implement relevant solutions.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on insurance industry experience who understands how insurance processes work and can translate that knowledge into clear business and technology requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Insurance Process & Domain Support
- Provide domain knowledge across insurance processes including underwriting, claims, policy servicing, renewals, and endorsements
- Analyze insurance workflows, business rules, and operational requirements
- Identify process gaps, exceptions, and areas where technology can improve operations
Policy & Claims Documentation
- Review insurance policies, claims documents, applications, supporting records, and related documentation
- Help define document requirements and validation rules for different insurance processes
- Identify missing, inconsistent, or incorrect information within insurance workflows
Product & Solution Support
- Work with product and engineering teams to translate insurance requirements into product functionality
- Provide inputs on workflows, business rules, terminology, and industry practices
- Review insurance-related features and use cases for functional accuracy
Client Engagement & Requirement Gathering
- Participate in discussions with insurance clients to understand their processes and operational challenges
- Gather and document business requirements for insurance-focused implementations
- Explain insurance workflows and requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Compliance & Process Controls
- Maintain awareness of insurance regulations, documentation requirements, and internal control practices
- Support the development of processes that align with relevant compliance requirements
- Identify operational risks and exceptions within insurance workflows
Research & Knowledge Sharing
- Track insurance industry trends, operational practices, and technology developments
- Develop process documentation, use cases, and internal knowledge resources
- Share domain insights with product, sales, marketing, and implementation teams
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in insurance operations, underwriting, claims, policy administration, or related insurance functions
- Strong understanding of insurance processes, terminology, and documentation
- Ability to analyze business workflows and identify operational requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with product, technical, and client-facing teams
- Experience with insurance technology platforms or digital insurance processes is preferred
