Insurance Verification Specialist
Schedule: Monday-Friday / 8am-5pm
What You'll Do:
- Verify patients' insurance benefits and coverage
- Review and identify patient financial responsibility (copays, deductibles, coinsurance)
- Create Insurance Benefit Summaries (IBS) when needed
- Obtain prior authorizations for specialty medications and therapies
- Document patient interactions and insurance information in the EMR
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams to resolve coverage issues
- Verify insurance eligibility through payer websites, electronic systems, or phone calls
- Assist with billing-related processes and other special projects as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Reside in Alabama, Tennessee, Ohio, or Virginia (Ideally)
- Experience with the WeInfuse program strongly preferred
- Knowledge of insurance plans such as HMO, PPO, TPA, Medicare, Medicaid, and other government payers preferred
- Previous experience in specialty pharmacy, home infusion, home healthcare, or a related healthcare setting is a plus

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
