Overview : Guidewire InsuranceNow Developer / Senior Developer role is focused on platform configuration, Java-based development, integrations, production support, and InsuranceNow customization. Key responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining applications on Guidewire InsuranceNow Configuring product definitions, rating logic, and policy lifecycle flows Building and troubleshooting Java-based APIs and integrations Supporting custom development, deployments, and issue resolution across environments Performing log analysis, debugging, and performance tuning Collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders for requirements gathering Participating in code reviews and handling production support activities Managing project risks, timelines, and multiple workstreams Requirements Must-have technical skills: Strong experience with Java , JavaScript , and web technologies Experience with Apache Tomcat Hands-on knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL Familiarity with XML , HTML , JavaScript, and Apache Velocity Experience using development tools like Eclipse , IntelliJ IDEA , GitHub , SharePoint , and Jira Strong troubleshooting, debugging, log analysis, and production support capabilities Good-to-have skills: Knowledge of Amazon Web Services and cloud infrastructure Understanding of Property & Casualty insurance processes and business domain This role is best suited for candidates with strong backend development skills, InsuranceNow implementation experience, and the ability to work closely with distributed teams and business stakeholders.
