Do you enjoy building integrations and taking them from start to finish?

We are looking for an Integration Engineer for an international organisation in logistics and freight forwarding, based in Antwerp (Belgium) or Houston (US).

Do you live in the US? This role can also be based in Houston.

What will you do?

Integration design and development

  • You design and build API and EDI integrations between the transport management system (TMS) and other applications.
  • You create data mappings and automate manual processes.
  • You develop reusable integration modules that align with the architecture standards.

Onboarding and support

  • You are the point of contact for onboarding customers and internal teams, from setup to go-live.
  • You translate the needs of customers and partners into technical specifications.
  • You are the go-to expert for integration questions and make sure issues are resolved quickly.

Production support and follow-up

  • You monitor the stability and performance of all active integrations.
  • You investigate and resolve errors and data discrepancies, working with internal teams and external partners.
  • You identify the root cause of recurring issues and put permanent fixes in place.

Environments, CI/CD and monitoring

  • You manage the development, staging and production environments.
  • You set up CI/CD for the integrations you are responsible for.
  • You take care of maintenance, upgrades, certificate renewals, monitoring and alerting.

What do you bring?

  • At least three years of experience in ETL development, on any platform.
  • Experience with API integrations, knowledge of EDI and AS2, and experience with data mapping.
  • You can build, test, implement and manage integrations independently.
  • You know the full development life cycle, from analysis and development to testing, delivery and maintenance.
  • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum team.
  • Knowledge of logistics or freight forwarding is a big advantage. Experience with a TMS is a bonus.

Technical skills

  • A solid understanding of REST and SOAP web services, authentication methods and the API life cycle.
  • You are comfortable working with scripting and transformation languages for data mapping.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD, including promoting releases from development to staging and production.
  • You know how to use monitoring, logging and alerting to keep track of integrations.
  • You are comfortable working with Jira, Confluence and SharePoint.

Nice to have

  • Have you worked with an integration platform such as MuleSoft, Boomi or IBM Sterling? That is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Have you supported integrations in production, with agreed response times or support outside office hours? That is a bonus too.
  • An interest in AI and automation will also come in handy.

Who you are

  • You communicate clearly, take initiative and think along about process improvements.
  • You are fluent in English. Dutch is a plus.

What do we offer?

  • A full-time role in a family business with a warm, family atmosphere.
  • Room to grow: you help shape the team's standards and way of working.
  • A salary package in line with your experience, plus a net allowance.
  • Meal vouchers and a collective bonus.
  • A company car, group insurance and hospitalisation insurance.
  • Hybrid working, with two days a week at the office in Antwerp.
  • Support outside office hours may be needed for critical integrations.

Based in the US? We will discuss the terms and conditions with you personally.
