Interim Banking Lawyer (Belfast)- £100k-£120k- Financial Services

A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Banking & Finance Lawyer to join its in-house legal team on a 12-month contract commencing in December 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused lawyer to support a broad range of lending, financing and transactional matters within a highly regarded international business. The role offers significant exposure to cross-border work, senior stakeholders and complex financing transactions, while operating within a collaborative legal team.

The Opportunity

You will provide legal advice and transactional support across a variety of banking and finance matters, including:

• Corporate and commercial lending transactions
• Loan and facility documentation
• Multi-jurisdictional financing arrangements
• Credit and risk-related legal issues
• Negotiation and execution of financing documentation
• Advising internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory considerations
• Managing external counsel and coordinating with legal colleagues globally
• Supporting strategic business initiatives and regulatory projects

About You

Applications are welcomed from lawyers who possess:

• 2+ years PQE gained at a leading law firm, financial institution or comparable environment
• Strong grounding in banking, lending or finance transactions
• Experience drafting and negotiating loan and facility documentation
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different jurisdictions
• Strong commercial judgement and communication skills

Additional Experience of Interest

Whilst not essential, experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:

• Trade finance
• Letters of Credit and related products
• Structured finance or asset-based lending
• Export finance
• Credit risk mitigation
• International banking or treasury environments
