About VectorY

VectorY is a fast-growing biotech company developing long-lasting therapies for neurodegenerative diseases, based at Amsterdam Science Park. We combine gene therapy and antibody engineering to pursue new possibilities where medical need is high.

With approximately 80 professionals across Amsterdam, Europe and the US, we are entering an exciting new phase of growth. As our organisation continues to scale, so does the importance of strong financial leadership, reliable reporting, and robust processes that support informed decision-making.
At VectorY, innovation and collaboration are not just values. They are how we achieve our ambition. We believe the best ideas emerge when people challenge each other openly, work across boundaries, and stay focused on what creates the most impact for patients and for the organisation.

The role
We are looking for an experienced Interim Controller to join VectorY as soon as possible for an initial assignment of at least four months.

This is a highly visible role with broad exposure across the organisation. You will work closely with stakeholders throughout the business and play an active role in maintaining a robust financial control environment while supporting ongoing improvement initiatives.

We are looking for someone who can quickly understand the organisation, build strong working relationships and add value from day one. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing operational finance responsibilities with continuous improvement and thrives in environments where priorities can evolve rapidly.

  • Strengthen financial controls, governance and compliance processes
  • Drive improvements across accounting, reporting and finance operations
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management activities
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to improve financial visibility and accountability
What you bring

  • Extensive experience in financial control, accounting, reporting or audit
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls and compliance
  • A track record of quickly adapting to new environments and delivering results
  • Experience improving finance processes, systems and ways of working
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within biotech, life sciences, pharmaceuticals or another R&D-driven environment is advantageous
What we offer
  • A fulltime interim assignment for 4 months + with immediate impact and visibility across the organisation
  • An initial contract of at least four months, starting as soon as possible
  • The opportunity to contribute to a growing biotech company developing therapies for neurodegenerative diseases
  • A collaborative and international working environment
  • Hybrid working from Amsterdam Science Park and remote working flexibility
