This is a contract position expected to last at least six months, with an anticipated workload of 20–25 hours per week.
Job Summary:
The Vice President, Information Technology will provide enterprise-wide strategic leadership for RQM+’s technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, data, and IT operations. This leader will partner closely with the executive leadership team to align technology investments with business objectives, drive digital transformation, manage technology risk, and ensure scalable, secure, and efficient systems that support the company’s continued growth.
The VP will establish the overall IT vision and roadmap, lead technology modernization initiatives, oversee strategic vendors and partners, and ensure the organization has the technology capabilities, security, and infrastructure needed to support employees, clients, and future business needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company's enterprise IT strategy and multi-year technology roadmap aligned with overall business objectives.
- Serve as the senior technology advisor to executive leadership, translating business needs into technology strategies and investments.
- Identify emerging technologies and opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, data quality, and customer experience.
- Lead enterprise-wide technology transformation and modernization initiatives.
- Establish IT goals, priorities, KPIs, and performance standards.
- Provide executive oversight of the organization's cybersecurity strategy, policies, and controls.
- Identify and mitigate technology, cybersecurity, vendor, data privacy and operational risks.
- Ensure appropriate security awareness, training, policies, and procedures are in place across the organization.
- Oversee incident response, cybersecurity preparedness, and remediation efforts.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, contractual, and industry requirements.
- Maintain and regularly test business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Provide strategic oversight of IT infrastructure, cloud environments, networks, systems, communications, and end-user technology.
- Ensure enterprise systems are secure, reliable, scalable, and capable of supporting business growth.
- Oversee enterprise applications Including, but not limited to, CRM, ERP, HRIS, data warehouse, data analytics and reporting.
- Establish standards for technology architecture, systems integration, data management, and technology lifecycle management.
- Ensure effective IT support and service delivery through internal teams and external partners.
- Lead initiatives to modernize and simplify technology platforms, processes, and capabilities.
- Evaluate and implement technologies that improve productivity, automation, collaboration, and business performance.
- Own and manage the enterprise IT budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and technology investments.
- Develop business cases and ROI analyses for major technology initiatives.
- Lead strategic vendor selection, contract negotiations, renewals, and performance management.
- Establish a strategic approach to technology partnerships and third-party risk.
- Ensure technology assets, software, licenses, and vendors are appropriately managed throughout their lifecycle.
- Assess opportunities involving AI, automation, analytics, and emerging technologies.
- Establish a framework for evaluating new technology investments and measuring business value/ROI.
- Lead, develop, and build a high-performing IT organization capable of supporting the company's current and future needs.
- Establish the organizational structure, talent strategy, and capabilities required to execute the IT roadmap.
- Develop IT leadership and technical talent through coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, customer service, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee external IT partners and ensure service levels meet organizational expectations.
- Partner with leaders across all business functions to understand technology needs.
- Serve as a strategic partner rather than simply a technology service provider.
- Ensure technology initiatives are prioritized based on business value, risk, cost, and organizational impact.
- Develop and administer technology related corporate polices.
- Support responses to technology related customer questions, contractual language requests and audit findings.
- Communicate complex technology concepts and risks to non-technical executives in a clear and actionable manner.
Education/Work Experience/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive IT experience, preferably within a growing, complex, or regulated organization.
- 8+ years of IT leadership experience, including experience leading teams, enterprise technology initiatives, and strategic transformation.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing an enterprise IT strategy and technology roadmap.
- Experience managing technology budgets and strategic vendor relationships.
- Experience leading enterprise systems, cloud technologies, infrastructure, applications, data, and cybersecurity and risk management.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership and influencing business strategy through technology.
- Experience leading organizational change and large-scale technology transformation.
- Ability to connect business strategy with technology strategy.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong financial and budget management capabilities.
- Proven vendor negotiation and strategic partnership experience.
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
- Experience managing multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
