Halliday Marx are in partnership with an international real estate business to hire a Payroll Manager for 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process for approximately 3,000 UK employees across multiple payrolls, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Lead and support a team of five payroll professionals, providing hands-on guidance, workload management and day-to-day leadership.
• Identify opportunities to automate payroll processes, streamline workflows and improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency across payroll operations.
• Manage the integration and data flow between Workday HR and SAP payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and effective system utilisation.
• Review and improve existing payroll processes, controls and procedures, implementing best practice to minimise errors and reduce manual intervention.
• Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, tax regulations and statutory reporting obligations.
• Work closely with HR, Finance and other internal stakeholders to resolve payroll discrepancies, improve data quality and deliver a seamless employee payroll experience.
• Assess the current payroll operating model, including opportunities to outsource payroll activities, and develop recommendations to improve service delivery, scalability and cost efficiency.

Requirements
