Interim Senior AI Governance & Digital Transformation Consultant

Interim Assignment | 6 months start mid October | Hybrid (up to 50% remote)

We are seeking a highly experienced AI Governance & Digital Transformation Consultant to support our client in establishing a robust framework for AI, digitalization, and IT governance. This assignment is ideal for a senior professional who can combine strategic advisory capabilities with hands-on implementation experience.

About The Assignment

Our client is continuing its journey to establish a cohesive governance framework covering AI, digital transformation, cloud architecture, and IT decision-making processes. The consultant will play a key role in shaping and implementing AI policies, AI strategy, AI and cloud architecture, and the organization's IT governance processes.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, information security, and other key functions to ensure that governance principles are translated into practical processes, methods, and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

AI Governance, Policies & Guidelines

• Finalize and refine AI policies and governance guidelines.
• Ensure practical applicability across the organization.
• Define clear roles, responsibilities, and compliance requirements.
• Align AI governance with existing information security, data protection, and digitalization frameworks.
• Develop implementation plans and executive decision support materials.
  
  

AI Strategy

• Lead or support the development of the organization's AI strategy.
• Identify priority use cases and opportunities for value creation.
• Establish principles for Generative AI, AI Agents, Machine Learning, and Decision Support Systems.
• Connect AI initiatives to business objectives, risk management, and benefits realization.
• Develop a strategic AI roadmap and target operating model.
  
  

AI & Cloud Architecture

• Design and document the target AI and cloud architecture.
• Define principles for data management, AI models, and AI services.
• Ensure integration with existing systems and enterprise platforms.
• Establish requirements for security, monitoring, logging, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure technical architecture supports both business needs and the overall AI strategy.
  
  

IT Governance & Portfolio Management

• Support the completion and implementation of the client's IT governance process.
• Develop AI-enabled support modules, templates, procedures, and working methods.
• Provide methodological guidance, knowledge transfer, and change management support.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment.
  
  

Required Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience leading complex IT, digital transformation, or governance initiatives.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into operational processes, governance models, and decision-making frameworks.
• Experience driving organizational change, stakeholder management, and knowledge transfer.
• Strong understanding of cloud services, data management, systems integration, and AI lifecycle management.
• Excellent communication skills and experience producing governance documentation and facilitating workshops in Swedish.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Generative AI, AI Agents, Machine Learning, and AI-driven solutions.
• Background in enterprise architecture, cloud strategy, and vendor management.
• Experience from real estate organizations, public sector entities, or municipal companies.
• Experience in IT portfolio management and governance frameworks.

• Completed AI policy and governance framework with implementation support materials.
• Approved and actionable AI strategy.
• Target-state AI and cloud architecture documentation.
• At least one AI-enabled governance support module, including templates and operational guidelines.
• Decision-making and implementation materials.
