Interior Designer for Marketing and Design Studio

This position follows a hybrid work arrangement, with an expectation of being in the office a minimum of three days per week, while providing flexibility to work remotely the remaining days.

You'll Support Meaningful Work By

• Developing interior design applications, concepts, and plans that address client and stakeholder needs while providing thoughtful recommendations and design direction.
• Creating relevant, on-brand design solutions that support product launches, marketing campaigns, application solutions, and strategic internal initiatives.
• Translating research, workplace insights, and user needs into meaningful design concepts, presentations, and visual storytelling experiences.
• Collaborating with Product Marketing, Communications, Visualization, WorkSpace Futures, and other cross-functional teams to support a variety of global projects.
• Consulting with internal partners to provide creative input, design expertise, and recommendations that help shape project outcomes.
• Exploring products, materials, and workplace applications to create innovative solutions that reflect Steelcase's portfolio and point of view.
• Adopting new tools, technologies, and ways of working, including AI-enabled workflows, while continuously improving design processes and project delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of professional experience in interior design, architecture, workplace design, or a related industry.
• Experience developing design solutions, presentations, and applications based on client or stakeholder needs.
• Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into effective design solutions.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, textiles, paint systems, or architectural materiality.
• Experience modeling simple architectural environments in SketchUp.
• Knowledge of Enscape and/or Veras visualization tools.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience collaborating with both remote and in-person teams.
• Portfolio demonstrating design thinking, conceptual development, and project execution.

Desired Skills And Experience

• Experience translating research findings, workplace insights, or user data into design concepts and applications.
• Knowledge of the Steelcase global portfolio and workplace applications.
• Experience supporting product launches, marketing campaigns, or design-driven storytelling initiatives.
• Proficiency with Miro and PowerPoint for collaboration, ideation, and presentation development.
• Experience using Generative AI tools to enhance design workflows, ideation, or project delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to provide and receive feedback effectively within highly collaborative environments.
• Strong communication, curiosity, and continuous learning mindset.
• Experience mentoring others or contributing to the development of teammates and project teams.
