Are you a leader passionate about transportation electrification and renewable energy? This is an opportunity to get involved in a dynamic and growing team and to leverage your talent in technical skills and project delivery across various scopes.The successful candidate will lead, design and execute projects with support from various CIMA disciplines.
Primary Responsibilities
- Mentor local engineering team and provide guidance to assemble deliverable packages for different types of delivery models
- Contribute to and manage technical design related to renewable energy (Solar, BESS, Micro-grid) and fleet & personal vehicle electrification projects across Canada
- Applying best practices and identifying innovative solutions, carry out engineering analyses, studies, design and construction oversight
- Liaison with clients, local Utilities, project team members, and other stakeholders regarding project requirements
- Attend, participate and lead client technical meetings
- Perform site visits for assessment, investigations and inspections
- Manage budget, schedule and quality of the projects
- Participate in proposal responses
- Training and knowledge transfer follow-up
- Working proficiency with the following software: PVsyst, AutoCAD
- Respond to RFPs, prepare proposals and support business development
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registered member of a Professional Engineering association in Canada
- Over 10 years of experience, with 5 years of relevant experience in the field of transportation electrification, renewable energy, mining, manufacturing, and/or building electricity will be considered an asset
- Interpersonal skills that encourage and fosters teamwork, great technical skills for writing studies and reports, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Passionate about Energy Transition and other Renewable Energy Technologies
- Familiarity with policies, standards, guidelines, rules and regulations as applicable to North American energy markets will be an added advantage
- Fluent in English; oral and written
