The Intermediate Software Engineer - Fullstack plays an important role in building and scaling KAST. This role is ideal for engineers who have developed strong technical fundamentals and are ready to take ownership of medium-to-large features while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle - from design and implementation to deployment and production support. You'll work alongside senior engineers to build scalable systems, improve engineering practices, and deliver high-quality software that supports KAST's growth. This role is for engineers who are proactive, eager to learn, and capable of working independently while knowing when to seek guidance. You'll be expected to continuously improve your technical skills and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain both front-end and back-end components for web applications using technologies such as Go, React, Next.js, Node.js, and Python. Independently deliver medium-to-large features while collaborating with senior engineers on complex technical solutions. Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations with third-party services. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering standards and best practices. Optimize application performance to ensure responsive user experiences and reliable backend services. Deploy and maintain applications using cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud (GCP). Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation to improve development efficiency and deployment reliability. Follow security, reliability, and performance best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to build responsive and intuitive user interfaces. Work closely with product managers and engineering leads to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes. Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback while continuously improving code quality. Support and mentor junior engineers through knowledge sharing and collaboration. Contribute to technical documentation and help maintain engineering standards. Qualifications & Skills 3–5 years of experience in full-stack software development. Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, Node.js, and Python. Familiarity with Go or willingness to learn and contribute to Go-based services. Good understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and third-party service integrations. Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB. Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices. Understanding of software design principles, application security, and performance optimization. Experience using Git and modern version control workflows. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within cross-functional Agile teams. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. Bonus Skills Experience with Go. Exposure to Web3 technologies, blockchain development, smart contracts, or decentralized applications (DApps). Experience with serverless architectures such as AWS Lambda or Google Cloud Functions. Familiarity with GraphQL APIs. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation). Experience using monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or ELK.
