Description Summer Interns will support various departments and work on a variety of projects and day-to-day business responsibilities, gain soft skills in a professional business environment, conduct weekly presentations, participate in training sessions and other activities throughout the summer. Interns will be assigned to one of the following departments: Accounting Actuarial Business Development (Sales) Property and Casualty Medical Stop Loss Business Intelligence Captive Finance Claims Health Risk Management / Strategic Vendor Services Information Technology / Cybersecurity Marketing Program Management Property and Casualty Medical Stop Loss Risk Control Underwriting ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree relative to a respective department and currently completing your junior year of college. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS: Strong team attitude Works well independently and in a team environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Organization, planning and prioritization skills Commitment to company values ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for completing project-based work in a timely manner Learn and complete assigned day to day business responsibilities Communicate effectively with team members Adapt to work in an office environment (Hybrid) Work with an assigned mentor to discuss team expectations and goals Attend department and other related training sessions throughout the summer Participate in team meetings Self-paced Kaplan Insurance courses Prepare and conduct weekly presentations Collaborate with other Interns
