YOUR ROLE
The Internal Audit Data Analytics Manager leads the development and execution of data analytics strategies that enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and coverage of the Internal Audit function. This role partners with audit leadership, business stakeholders, IT, and compliance teams to identify risks, develop continuous monitoring solutions, and leverage data-driven insights to strengthen governance, risk management, and internal controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement the Internal Audit analytics roadmap aligned with organizational risk priorities.
Identify opportunities to embed data analytics, automation, and continuous auditing into audit planning, execution, and reporting.
Establish standards, methodologies, and best practices for audit analytics and data-driven auditing.
Support all phases of the audit lifecycle, including risk assessment, planning, scoping, testing, reporting, and follow-up activities.
Utilize Tableau, Alteryx, and SQL to automate audit testing and enable continuous auditing.
Extract, transform, and analyze data from ERP systems, business applications, and data warehouses.
Develop and maintain a library of repeatable analytics and dashboards for financial, operational, IT, and SOX audits.
Build visualizations and dashboards to communicate audit results, trends, and business risks to management.
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to improve audit effectiveness and efficiency through the use of analytics and automation.
Design and perform data analyses to identify control exceptions, anomalies, fraud indicators, and emerging risks.
Develop risk-based testing approaches using full-population analysis rather than traditional sampling methods.
Build and maintain continuous auditing and monitoring dashboards.
Provide trend analysis and predictive insights to support enterprise risk assessments and audit planning.
Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance standards are maintained.
Train and mentor audit staff on analytics tools, methodologies, and data-driven auditing techniques.
Lead the adoption of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and process mining, to enhance audit effectiveness and risk identification.
Evaluate and implement new analytics tools and capabilities to drive continuous improvement within the Internal Audit function.
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the value, efficiency, and impact of audit analytics initiatives.
Support fraud risk management initiatives through targeted analytics and investigative support.
Present analytics findings, trends, and risk insights to audit leadership and senior management in a clear and actionable manner.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in Internal Audit, Data Analytics, Risk Management, or a related field, including at least 3 years of experience leading analytics initiatives, projects, or teams.
Strong Internal Audit background with experience supporting risk assessments and audit execution.
Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Workiva etc,
Exposure to AI-enabled audit analytics and automation technologies.
Experience supporting Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), operational audits, and enterprise risk assessments.
Fluent verbal and written English communication skills (Required).
Additional European language skills are an asset (Preferred)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex analytical findings to senior leadership.
Ability to interpret and analyze financial and operational data.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
CERTIFICATIONS
Advanced Alteryx skills (required).
Advanced Tableau and SQL expertise (required).
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or Certified Data Analytics Professional (CDAP)
