Job Purpose This International Recruitment Officer position will focus on the recruitment of students into the various programmes offered by Oxford International Education Group (OIEG) for UK Academic Partnership (Pathway colleges) and Direct Universities and support the Regional Sales Manager to deliver annual sales targets in the region through effective day to day operation. This is an individual contributor sales role, requiring exceptional ability to build strong internal and external relationships, the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across a diverse set of audiences, as well as negotiation and influencing skills. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, target-driven, and a strong team player with a flexible approach to work. The role will include regular domestic travel with occasion international travel. It is expected that the postholder will have significant years’ experience recruiting students to overseas HE institutions. Main Duties and Responsibilities Recruit to agreed targets suitably qualified international students to study UK OIEG programmes from Sri Lanka. Contribute to the development and implementation of international marketing and recruitment plans for priority markets in support of OIEG student recruitment objectives. Undertake recruitment visits locally, to provide reports and market intelligence on these activities. Manage relationships with colleagues within Oxford International in order to maximize student recruitment. Counsel students and give recommendations on programmes in the context of the admissions criteria agreed with the appropriate academic staff, with regard to their admission to our programmes. Develop a good knowledge of the portfolio of programmes offered by UK Academic partnerships (Pathways) and Direct partners and of the entry requirements for these courses within the market. Disseminate market intelligence and information on potential business opportunities and report these to the Regional Manager and work with colleagues to progress these opportunities. Maintain good relations with target external organisations including schools, colleges and universities in the markets. Conduct appropriate market research, with reference to the strategic development of UK OIEG’s portfolio of academic programmes or competitor activity. Maintain accurate records of recruitment activity, prospect pipelines, and conversion. Prepare regular reports on recruitment activity, market trends, and progress against targets for senior leadership.
