Internship / Graduation Project (HBO): European market research & growth strategy

Help shape the European growth strategy of a leading Dutch weather technology company. Are you looking for a graduation internship where your research will have a real business impact? At Infoplaza, you'll work directly with our management team on a strategic project that will support our expansion across Europe. About Infoplaza Infoplaza is a Dutch weather intelligence company providing weather data and decision support solutions to B2B and B2C clients across Europe. Our B2B division delivers weather data services to clients in sectors including winter road maintenance services, rail, energy, agriculture, construction and offshore industry. As part of its 2026–2030 growth strategy, Infoplaza aims to expand its B2B business beyond The Netherlands into new European markets. The Assignment As Infoplaza accelerates its European expansion, we are looking for a motivated final-year student to help identify the most attractive growth opportunities of the European B2B weather services. Your research will directly support strategic investment decisions made by our management team. During your internship you will: Develop a structured market research approach and methodology. Analyse the European market size across multiple industries and countries. Identify market opportunities and competitive landscapes. Evaluate different go-to-market strategies, including direct sales, partnerships and acquisitions. Translate your findings into a strategic growth recommendation supported by data and financial analysis. By the end of your internship, you will have delivered: A market sizing model (TAM/SAM) for European countries and industries. A prioritised opportunity matrix identifying the most attractive markets. A competitive landscape analysis. A comparison of strategic expansion scenarios. A final thesis/report and management presentation with clear, data-driven recommendations. Assignment Format This assignment is suitable as a final-year thesis project (individual or pair) or as a group project within a business administration, international business, or commercial economics programme. Expected duration: one semester. You will work closely with Infoplaza's management team and have access to commercial data, market insights and relevant industry contacts to support your research. To facilitate close collaboration, we expect you to be present at our office in Houten on a regular basis throughout the project, allowing for frequent interaction with the team and active participation in project discussions. Student Profile A final-year HBO student in International Business, Commercial Economics, Business Administration or related study. Strong analytical skills and an interest in market research. Interested in strategy and international business development. Able to work independently and translate complex information into practical recommendations. Professional proficiency in English (working language for this project).
