Internship – Heineken Experience Marketing
Bringing the Heineken Experience to life through social media, creative storytelling and unforgettable guest experiences - that's a normal day as an intern in our marketing team.
The internship
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join the Heineken Experience team as a Marketing Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media, communications, public relations and brand activations. You will work closely with the Social Media & Creative Specialist and the Content & Communications Specialist, supporting the team across three key areas:
- Social media:
- Content planning: Assist in planning the social media content calendar, organizing and scheduling the content for various social media platforms and ensuring a consistent and strategic approach to engage the audience effectively.
- Content Curation & Filming: You’ll play a key role in collaborating with our creative agency to identify and select trendy, brand-aligned content for the Heineken Experience. This includes researching social media platforms for the latest trends, curating engaging ideas, and supporting the team during filming to bring these concepts to life.
- Community engagement: Help monitor social media channels and support audience engagement by identifying relevant opportunities, trends and conversations.
- Communications & PR
- Copywriting: Assist in writing and proofreading a variety of marketing and communication materials, including website copy, campaign messaging, promotional content and internal communications for platforms such as Workvivo, Teams and the internal newsletter.
- PR & media relations: Support the management of incoming media enquiries, maintain press materials and assist with PR activities.
- Marketing campaigns: Support the execution of marketing campaigns, including out-of-home (OOH) advertising, partnerships and promotional activities from planning through implementation.
- Activations
- Guest activations: Assist in planning and executing guest activations at the Heineken Experience, helping to create memorable and engaging visitor experiences.
- Events: Assist in organising events and collaborations with partners, influencers and media, helping coordinate logistics and ensuring smooth execution.
Your new team and workplace
The Heineken Experience is a brand experience located in Heineken®’s oldest brewery, in the heart of Amsterdam. The former brewery closed in 1988, when production outgrew the historic building. Today, it has been transformed into an immersive visitor experience and one of Amsterdam’s most recognisable attractions. We are an international, dynamic and enthusiast team aiming to promote the Heineken Experience to enhance and amplify the influence and impact of the Heineken® brand.
During your internship, you’ll have every opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as an organization, not just within your own team, but across departments. We trust and empower you to work with an entrepreneurial mindset. At HEINEKEN, we love bringing the outside world in and welcome fresh, new ideas with open arms. Of course, we’ll make sure you get the guidance that suits you.
What a day in the internship could look like
“No two days at the Heineken Experience are the same. After starting your morning with a coffee and a catch-up with the team, you might be brainstorming social content ideas, supporting a content shoot, updating website copy, or helping prepare an upcoming campaign. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with colleagues across different teams, contribute to marketing and communication projects, and get a behind-the-scenes look at one of Amsterdam's leading attractions. Whether you're spotting the latest social media trends, writing content, supporting a PR activity or helping bring an activation to life, you'll have plenty of opportunities to learn, grow and make an impact.”
