Inventory Manager
Azelis Canada
Brampton, ON | Hybrid (50% in-office) | Full-Time
About the Role
Azelis Canada is looking for an analytically-minded Inventory Manager to drive demand planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization for a portfolio of assigned suppliers. You'll analyze stock levels, demand trends, and lead times to guide purchasing decisions, then execute through PO management, supplier coordination, and ERP data accuracy — partnering closely with Product Managers and Sales to keep inventory lean, accurate, and aligned with customer demand. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
What You'll Do
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Generate and review replenishment IDs in Overdrive (OD) and use forecasting tools to guide purchasing decisions
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels based on Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO) for assigned suppliers
- Flag slow-moving, short-dated, expired, and obsolete stock early; communicate risk to Product Managers
- Collaborate with Sales and Product Managers to incorporate demand signals into forecasts
- Review and clean up OD data regularly to ensure forecasting accuracy
- Support monthly PM–IM planning meetings with Power BI/OD analysis (stocking strategy, overrides, slow movers, overstock, lead times)
- Track and report on KPIs including ETA performance and DIO
Purchasing & PO Execution
- Enter, review, and maintain Purchase Orders in Chempax (ERP), using OD as the primary system of record
- Maintain accurate pricing/cost information and flag discrepancies to Product Managers
- Follow up on credit-hold/profit-hold issues and ensure timely Supplier Order Acknowledgements
Supplier, Logistics & Receiving Coordination
- Coordinate with carriers and customs brokers for cost-effective, on-time delivery and clearance
- Process Inventory Receipts, CofAs, and pre-receiving documentation (accurate manufacture/expiry dates) in the ERP
- Monitor open PO and open order reports; maintain accurate ETAs and ship dates
Customer & After-Sales Support
- Respond to CSR inquiries within 24 hours and maintain accurate delivery dates on all open orders
- Handle after-sales service including RMAs, non-conformities, and credit/debit memo resolution
- Act as the customer's champion across departments
What You Bring
- 5–7 years of experience in supply chain, demand planning, or inventory analysis
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in forecasting tools, DIO/inventory metrics, and ERP systems (Chempax or similar)
- Proficiency with Power BI or similar data analysis/reporting tools
- High attention to detail and comfort working with large data sets to drive decisions
- Strong communication skills to translate analysis into action across Sales, Product Management, and Suppliers
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is an asset
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $70,000–$75,000 CAD
- Health & dental benefits
- RRSP matching
- Paid time off (PTO)
- Hybrid schedule (50% in-office, Brampton, ON)
