Investment Analyst
Remote (hiring worldwide) · Contractor · Full-time · Monthly salary: $4.000 - $5.000 USD

About the role
You'll support Kinship Ventures on two fronts. On capital formation, you'll prepare materials, track LP conversations and write the communications that move a raise forward. On investment work, you'll do the research, market mapping, diligence support and analysis behind our conviction. Much of the job is writing, and our investors expect a client-service standard of communication.

About us
Kinship Ventures is the venture platform co-founded by Moj Mahdara and Gwyneth Paltrow. We back the world's TAM creators: founders inventing new markets and building enduring companies. Our strategy has two parts. We back high-growth companies approaching scale, and we take early, conviction-driven positions in the next generation of category-defining founders. Moj is also the founder of Trolley, an operating platform for founder-led execution, and the former CEO of Beautycon Media.

What you'll do

  • Fundraising and LP support: draft LP updates, recaps and outreach, keep the LP pipeline current after every meeting, and help build fund decks, one-pagers, data room materials and newsletters
  • Research and diligence: build market maps, thematic research and investment theses, run primary research calls with operators, customers and experts, and support market sizing, benchmarking, financial analysis and investment memos
  • Deal support: coordinate diligence, data requests and document tracking, and keep deal materials, term sheets and cap tables current
  • Written communication: turn meetings into accurate recaps, and draft materials for LPs, founders and co-investors that need little editing

What you bring

  • 2 to 3 years in venture capital, investment banking, consulting, startup ops or strategy, or a founder's office
  • Direct exposure to fundraising, investor relations or LP communications
  • Exceptional written English and credibility on calls with senior investors. Writing is a primary filter for this role.
  • A solid base in financial modeling, market sizing, competitive analysis and accounting fundamentals, plus working familiarity with term sheets, cap tables and diligence
  • AI-native: fluent in Claude, ChatGPT, Notion and no-code automations, plus Excel, PowerPoint and Google Workspace
  • Sharp investment judgment: you form a point of view instead of just assembling data, you track everything and you finish what you start

How we work

  • Fast-moving and collaborative, working closely with a US-based team
  • A high-trust, high-intensity partnership, closer to a co-founder rhythm than a 9-to-5. Expect check-ins on weekends and outside normal hours when things are moving.
  • We need someone discreet with sensitive information, direct and honest, and steady under pressure
