In this role, you'll work at the intersection of building and investing. You'll spend your days talking with Europe's boldest entrepreneurs, tackling the hardest problems, explore emerging technologies, and make the calls on which companies deserve our bet. Role summary The Investment Professional will help drive our European coverage by supporting deal sourcing, market mapping, founder relationships, and investment execution . This is a high-learning, high-responsibility role for someone who wants to grow into a long-term investor. Key responsibilities Sourcing Build and maintain a strong pipeline of early-stage companies. Proactively identify founders through ecosystem relationships, events, and outbound sourcing Develop thematic theses and market maps to guide sourcing Evaluation / Execution Support in meetings, commercial due diligence, and writing investment memos Analyze product, market, team, traction, and competitive dynamics Help prepare internal investment committee materials Network / Brand building Represent the fund at founder events, demo days, and ecosystem gatherings Build relationships with founders, operators, angels, and co-investors Help increase visibility and reputation of Peak and your personal brand. Portfolio support (selectively) Support portfolio companies with research, introductions, and ad hoc project work Help connect founders to talent, customers, and follow-on investors What we value in this role Hustle + judgement (not just volume) Genuine founder relationship building Curiosity and ability to learn quickly Strong follow-through and high ownership Relationship-building without being transactional Early success indicators (first 12 months) Builds a high-quality sourcing funnel in the Benelux or DACH region Develops trusted relationships with founders and local ecosystem players Contributes materially to diligence and internal conviction-building Brings opportunities to the Investment Committee Becomes a credible face of Peak What a strong candidate looks like 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in venture capital, investment banking, startup ops/strategy, consulting, or founder (office) roles Strong German startup network (founders, angels, operators, accelerators, local VCs) Clear interest in early-stage investing and strong curiosity for technology / software / AI Investor discipline, Strong analytical skills; able to structure information and form an opinion Entrepreneurial instinct , with high ownership, strong curiosity, bias to action, and ability to create opportunities and turn them into outcomes. Excellent communication skills in English Willing to be based in Amsterdam, Berlin, or Munich and travel across Europe when needed You’re the kind of person who...
