Investment Manager – Origination As an Investment Manager within Origination at Gilion, you are responsible for building and converting a high-quality deal pipeline across Northern Europe’s most ambitious technology companies — including tomorrow’s category leaders and potential unicorns. Initially, your primary focus will be Sweden and Finland, with potential to expand into additional markets over time. You will be at the forefront of our commercial efforts, engaging with founders, CEOs, and leading VCs to position Gilion as a trusted financing partner. You will drive deal origination through proactive outreach, partnerships, and network development, and own the commercial dialogue from first interaction to signed deal — in close collaboration with our Structuring team. Your work will combine relationship building, commercial judgment, and financial understanding, supported by a highly experienced structuring team, legal team, and our proprietary analytics platform. As Gilion is a fast-growing fintech company and lending is at the core of what we do, you’ll also be expected to contribute to developing Gilion as a company and strengthening our position in the ecosystem. Who are you? Strong commercial drive with a clear ability to build and maintain long-term relationships High credibility and trust in interactions with founders, executives, and investors Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-growth environment with a strong sense of ownership Structured but pragmatic in evaluating opportunities quickly Excellent written and verbal communication skills A solid team player Must-have Relevant education in finance, economics, business, engineering or similar, with strong financial fluency and understanding of company financials 1–4 years of relevant work experience Experience from origination, venture capital, investment banking, or similar roles within the startup ecosystem Experience working in client-facing or commercial roles Fluency in Swedish and English (both spoken and written) Nice-to-have Existing network within tech and/or VC ecosystem, particularly in Sweden, and/or Finland If you don’t tick every single box but believe you would thrive in this role, we’d still love to hear from you.
